Iconic actor and singer Meatloaf has sadly passed away at the age of 74.

The legend, who inspired many artists throughout various genres during his 6 decade long career passed away on Thursday evening with his wife Deborah by his side.

A statement was posted by his family on his official Facebook page:

Meatloaf, also known as Michael Lee Aday was known for his legendary Bat Out Of Hell Trilogy which became one of the best-selling albums of all time and earned him a Grammy Award.

He was an accomplished stage performer and actor, appearing in the original cast of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, made appearances on the Broadway production Hair, the iconic Robert Paulson in Fight Club and Wayne’s World.
