Foo Fighters Drummer Taylor Hawkins Passes Away Aged 50

The Foo Fighters have confirmed on their social media accounts that their drummer Taylor Hawkins has sadly passed away at the age of 50.

The band were due to play at the Estéreo Picnic 2022 in Bogata, Colombia this evening. A local website reported that Hawkins’ body was found in his hotel room which was north of Bogata; no cause of death and been announced as of yet.

Taylor Hawkins was born in Fort Worth, Texas on the 17th February 1972. He joined Alanis Morissette on her Jagged Little Pill Tour in 1995 as the drummer. He left in 1997 to join the Foo Fighters after original drummer William Goldsmith left the band. He made his recorded album debut on Nothing Left To Lose and had song-writing credits on every subsequent Foo Fighters album.
