Judas Priest finally elected into Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

Breaking News….

Legendary Heavy Metal band Judas Priest finally elected into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Having been eligible since 1999, the band was elected along with Eminem, Lionel Richie, Carly Simon, Eurythmics, Duran Duran, Pat Benatar and Dolly Parton.

The band received 365,999 fan votes but according to “This Day in Metal” Metalhead Marv lots of their fans didn’t bother to vote to protest the Rock Hall snubbing so many Rock and Metal band’s that should be in there.

Hailing from Birmingham, England the band has sold over 100 millions albums and are considered as one of the greatest metal bands of all time.

The band were nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s class of 2018 and 2020 but failed to get in, a move the band was critical of. They were however inducted into the Hall of Heavy Metal History at the Wacken festival in August 2018. Founder/CEO Pat Gesualdo thanked them “for the decades of hard work and dedication to heavy metal, an art form they helped establish.” The band then stated that their induction “also sends a great message of inclusion for the metal community around the world, and keeps us defending the metal faith together.”

The band’s popularity and status as one of the exemplary and influential heavy metal bands has earned them the nickname “Metal Gods” from their song of the same name.

Judas Priest: “We’ve been flying the flag of metal for 50 years, and there’s more to come”

The Hall of Fame ceremony will take place on Saturday, November 5th in Los Angeles.

Congrats on making it in!!! Well deserved Metal Legends!!
