Concert Review

Date: June 16th, 2022

Location: Sound of Music Festival, Burlington, Ontario.

The Sound of Music festival in Burlington, Ontario has been a tradition for over 40 years.

The band has gone through numerous singers since Sebastian Bach was in the band, but I think they finally found a good one in Erik Grönwall.

Personally, I would love to see Bach back in the band but don’t think that will ever happen.

Erik replaced singer ZP Theart last year. In 2009, he won the Swedish Idol reality television and was previous the singer of the rock band H.E.A.T

Wow talk about taking me back in time. The band started the show with Slave To The Grind which got the fans crazy. New singer Erik sounded amazing as the band went into The Threat and Big Guns.

After that the band went into fan favourite 18 and Life and Piece of Me.

Followed by some more songs the band played another favourite I Remember You.

New song The Gang’s All Here sounded awesome and fit perfectly into the set.

The band finished with Youth Gone Wild which sent most of us home very happy.

If you get a chance to hear them I highly recommend you going.

  1. Slave to the Grind
