Album Review: 1349 - The Wolf And The King
1349 are a band who have the soul intention and vision to maintain the legacy of black metal and their
Tuesday September 10th 2024, Toronto What a true privilege to witness two bands that helped shaped the very sound of Heavy Metal.
First off ,I love Accept. The band are best known for their singles 'Balls to the Wall' and 'Midnight Mover' with Udo on vocals was awesome. I loved those growing up and cranking them on my cassette player!
Now, 50 years later the band is still around with current vocalist Mark Tornillo who has been on the band's last three albums. He seems a perfect fit for the band and I love their songs 'Humanoid' and 'Teutonic Terror' with him.
I'm almost sure these singers were not doing backing tracks as I was right near the front of the stage. How they sing these songs with so much energy is incredible.
To be honest, the band's songs with Mark are right up there with Accept's best older songs and I love how they interact with the fans, getting them to clap and sing along.

As much as KK wants to be back in Judas Priest, I'm glad he's back touring himself. He sounded as good as ever and I was extremely impressed. KK was the first musician I interviewed for This Day in Metal and seeing him live onstage was a dream come true. I've been following Judas Priest for over 40 years and I will cherish this forever.
Tim 'Ripper' Owens was amazing. From the opening track 'Hellfire Thunderbolt' it was a full out metal assault. The band played a few Judas Priest songs but now that the band has released two albums they now have a good repertoire of songs. My favourites of the show were 'Hell Patrol,' 'Sermons of the Sinner' and the finale 'Raise Your Fists.'
Honestly, this band is amazing and you'll be in for treat if you see this tour. I might be a bit biased because I love both these bands but please go out and see them if you can. It's worth it.
KK's Priest Setlist:
Both bands are supporting their recent albums with KK's Priests The Sinner Rides Again and Accept's Humanoid.
