Some concerts entertain. Others make your heart beat differently.
This was one special moment.
Thanks to Inertia Entertainment, Toronto was gifted with an extraordinary night of symphonic metal mastery, featuring Edge of Paradise, Xandria, and Delain.
Each band brought not just sound, but soul, reminding us why the metal scene here is so vibrant, passionate, and deeply human.

From the moment Margarita Monet walked onto the stage, the venue was transformed. Her voice—soaring, deep, ghostly—commanded attention, while her graceful yet intense presence mesmerized everyone.
Edge of Paradise paints in shades of silver and neon, blending industrial crunch with cinematic beauty. And while their sound was larger than life, their energy was deeply personal.

David Bates brought power and precision on guitar, and though Jamie Moreno wasn’t with the band that night due to unforeseen circumstances, they didn’t miss a beat. Justin Piedmont (from Immortal Guardian) stepped in on drums for both Toronto and Montreal—and delivered an explosive, flawless performance that left the crowd in awe. Holding down the low end was Kenny Lockwood on bass—bringing grit, and a commanding stage presence that added weight and drive to every track.

A special moment during the set was when Ben V. of LudoTechnique joined the band on vocals for Mind Assassin. His intense energy and gritty vocal tone blended perfectly with Margarita’s haunting presence, making that performance even more unforgettable.

Margarita’s vocals on Mind Assassin were hypnotic. Digital Paradise was a storm of synth and guitar. And Falling Light? It hit us right in the heart—a fragile, luminous close that felt almost spiritual.

But beyond the performance, what stood out the most was their genuine warmth. I saw them interact with fans, and I have to say: they were some of the kindest, most approachable artists I’ve ever seen. Their energy offstage matched what they gave us onstage—authentic, humble, and full of gratitude.

▶️ If you’re searching for a band that’s as talented as they are kind, Edge of Paradise should be on your radar—immediately.

🎭 Xandria – A Symphony of Power and Emotion.

2. Reborn
3. Universal
4. 200 Years
5. Two Worlds
6. Live the Tale
7. Nightfall

Xandria took us to another dimension. From the very first notes, the room was wrapped in orchestral soundscapes and powerful storytelling.

Ambre Vourvahis was absolutely magnetic—not just vocally, but in her flow. Her presence on stage is calm, fluid, and somehow both powerful and soothing. Watching her is like being swept into a river—you’re carried without even realizing it. Her vocals soared in Reborn, cracked open emotional layers in Universal, and radiated vulnerability and strength in Nightfall.

The band’s chemistry elevated every note:
🎸 Marco Heubaum – crafting the atmosphere with every chord.
🎸 Rob Klawonn – delivering sharp, emotionally charged riffs.
🥁 Dimitrius Gatsios– bringing both thunder and finesse from behind the kit.

Beyond the stage, they showed a deep respect for the people who support them. It was honestly beautiful to witness how they engaged with fans after the show—smiling, chatting, signing, taking their time with every person. There was no rush, no barrier—just real gratitude and generosity.
There’s something deeply transportive about seeing Xandria live. It’s not just about the notes—it’s about what they make you feel.
➡️ Their set in Toronto was a symphonic escape into another world, and Ambre is quickly becoming one of the most captivating frontwomen in metal today.

🌌 Delain – A Heartfelt and Victorious Headline Performance
As the headliners of the night, Delain had the final word—and they delivered it with elegance, strength, and emotion. Their performance felt like a homecoming for longtime fans and a stunning revelation for new ones.

14. Moth to a Flame
15. April Rain
16. Not Enough
17. We Are the Others

As headliners, Delain brought a performance that was powerful, thoughtful, and emotionally charged from start to finish.
They chose to rearrange the setlist a bit for Toronto, and it honestly felt so intentional—like a carefully curated emotional arc. The flow from song to song kept the energy balanced between nostalgia, catharsis, and celebration.

Diana Leah continues to blossom in the spotlight—her voice was strong, heartfelt, and beautifully vulnerable. It was impossible not to feel moved watching her, especially during Sleepwalkers Dream and Not Enough.
One of the most touching moments of the night came during We Are the Others. Diana was visibly emotional—you could see how much the love from the crowd meant to her. And we felt it right back.

The band around her was a storm of talent and synergy:
🎸 Ronald Landa – unleashing passionate guitar work and backing vocals that gave extra dimension.
🎸 Ludovico Cioffi – a beast on bass, anchoring the show with charisma and groove.
🎹 Martijn Westerholt – bringing cinematic depth with every key stroke .
🥁 Sander Zoer – the backbone of the entire performance, steady and fierce.
What struck me beyond the music was how genuinely engaged the entire band was with fans after the show. Whether it was a quick photo, a moment of eye contact, or just a smile—you could feel that they were present, attentive, and full of appreciation.
Delain didn’t just close the night—they brought us full circle.
➡️ They gave us emotion. They gave us fire. And they left us with something we’ll carry for a long, long time.
