The nominees for induction in to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame class of 2023 were recently announced.
Iron Maiden finished in fourth place in the Top 5 fan vote with over 449,000 votes. Soungarden made it to fifth place with over 427,000 votes.
George Michael grabbed first place in the fan vote with over 1 million votes with Cyndi Lauper and Warren Zevon taking up second and third place respectively. Over 3 million votes were cast altogether.
It has long been criticised that Iron Maiden have been left out of the induction despite having been eligible since 2005; they have been unsuccessful twice so far.
Here's hoping that 2023 is the year they are finally inducted.
