Metallica Has Enough Ideas for "20 More Records" according to Lars Ulrich

Metal legends Metallica have released their first album in seven years, called "72 Seasons," but according to drummer Lars Ulrich, the band already has enough ideas in the works for "20 more records". In a recent interview with 20 Minuten, Ulrich discussed the importance of creating new music to the band, stating that it's a "vital, huge, significant" part of their career that they'll never stop exploring.

Making music is about joy for Metallica now, while in the past there were times where they were told to make music, and it wasn't always a happy experience.
Ulrich mentioned how grateful he is for the positive reaction Metallica received for "72 Seasons," but the band measures success based on the quality of the record itself. Ulrich emphasized that a lack of inspiration has never been an issue for Metallica and they don't have nearly enough time to record all the ideas they have.

"There's never a conversation about should we make new music as in should we not make new music. So it's never a question like that. New music is a vital, vital, huge, huge, significant part of who we are."

Fans of Metallica will undoubtedly look forward to hearing what the future holds for the metal giants.
