Delving deep into religion, drawing inspiration from worldwide mythological stories such as the story of Judas, tarot cards, demons, the secrets of the Vatican and the nature of good and evil. Musically, The Judas Paradox is dark, thrilling and thick with heavy, blackened riffs, intoxicating melodies and classical touches. An immense soundscape of crushing, slow and heavy atmospheric melodic death/doom metal. Haunting choirs, rolling thunderstorms, eerie orchestration, beautiful piano and ethereal synths support melodically rich and emotive guitars. Deep and powerful gutteral growls and roars pull you into this bleak and gloomy yet gorgeously melancholic world soaring with dark elegance and overpowering intensity. An utterly captivating record

A uniquely stylistic and intricate approach to blackened death metal with a technical twist. Screaming guitars full of technical precision, detailed basslines, progressive elements and roaring drums. Powerful roaring vocals and beautiful orchestration create a dynamic layer of incredible artistry. Pushing the boundaries and blurring the lines between subgenres, Apex serves as a fantastic composition of brutality and beauty.
Wolfheart - Draconian Darkness
Genre: Melodic Death Metal
FFO: Before The Dawn, Omnium Gatherum, Be'lakor, Words of Farewell
Rating: 7/10
Huge sprawling melodies, rampaging blast-beats, rich symphonic elements and roaring gutteral vocals. Enhancing their trademark 'winter metal' sound of icy melodic death metal centred around the theme of the rugged and untamed northern wilderness. Both elegant and ferocious in equal measure, this record is highly addictive, rousing and brutally devastating but it's also fun and an enjoyable listen.
