Up and coming UK melodic death metal quartet Shrike are ready to unleash their own brand of death metal upon the unsuspecting public. They released their first EP Parallel Existences in 2019 drawing on influences from across the metal spectrum. This is everything you’d want from a death metal EP but with their own style coming to the forefront. From ferocious gutteral vocals occasionally juxtaposed with clean melodies, deafening drumming, heavy basslines and meaty dual guitar riffage.
It’s clear they are passionate about what they do which translates well through their music. They would not be misplaced amongst the likes of early Trivium; especially with their latest single ‘Martyr‘ which you can listen to below. This track will guarantee to get the crowd moving and sets the tone for their next upcoming record.
These guys are definitely a band to keep an eye on and are set to take the metal world by storm. You can view the full video interview below and make sure to give them a follow on all of their social media accounts.
