Corrosion Of Conformity Bassist Mike Dean Leaves The Band
Bassist Mike Dean of Corrosion of Conformity has left the band citing distance from other band members as the cause.
The drummer of QUIET RIOT, Frankie Banali, passed away at the age of 68 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. In recent months his condition had dramatically worsened but Frankie he never gave up and continued to play as long as he could.
In mid-August he had suffered a stroke.
Banali is most known for his lengthy career as the drummer for the multi-platinum heavy metal band Quiet Riot whose Metal Health was the first heavy metal album to reach number one on the Billboard charts and ushered in the 80’s metal band era.
So sad to hear the news of his passing. I grew up on Quiet Riot and his music and him will be sadly missed. Metalhead Marv
