Evocative and Elegant Black Metal - An Interview With Winterfylleth

Since 2007, Manchester’s Winterfylleth have been crafting Atmospheric Black Metal influenced by nature and the old ways. With their upcoming eighth studio album The Imperious Horizon, Rick of This Day In Metal sat down with vocalist and guitarist Chris Naughton to discuss the influences and inner workings of this newest creation full of the bands trademark ferocity and grandeur.

“I think that with Black Metal being so evocative and particularly our sort of organic and atmospheric style of it that it also needs some style around it, and so I think I try and do that in an elegant way with old texts”.
