BELTFED WEAPON Thrash/Speed/Death Metal Supergroup Drops New Track "Tortured Within"-Out Now!

Seattle-based thrash/speed/death metal supergroup Beltfed Weapon has officially released their highly anticipated single, 'Tortured Within' available now on all major platforms. The track, which premiered on Metal Injection on September 10th 2024, follows the success of their 2023 EP Darkened Demise and features a powerhouse lineup of metal legends, including:

Stu Block (vocals, ex-Iced Earth, Into Eternity)
Mike Lepond (bass, Symphony X)
Kragen Lum (lead guitar, Heathen, Exodus)
Bryan Newbury (drums, Into Eternity)

Mixed and mastered by Juan Urtega, 'Tortured Within' blends brutal thrash, speed, and death metal with razor-sharp precision. The cover art, crafted by Sidjimbe Art, perfectly captures the intensity of the track’s theme: the internal struggle of a person battling personal demons like addiction, trying to break free and find redemption.

Founder and guitarist Frank Hetzel shares his thoughts on the release:

"'Tortured Within' is about fighting a war inside yourself. Working with Stu, Mike, Kragen, and Bryan was an amazing experience. They’re all top-notch musicians, and I couldn’t be happier with how this song turned out."

About BELTFED WEAPON

Founded in 1999 by guitarist/songwriter Frank Hetzel, Beltfed Weapon has been a force in the Seattle metal scene for over 20 years. Hetzel, who initially gained recognition as a booking agent for national and international touring bands, established Beltfed Weapon as a project heavily influenced by speed, thrash, and death metal.

Over the years, Beltfed Weapon has released a demo and three critically acclaimed EPs, playing shows with metal icons such as Testament, Overkill, Death Angel, Nile, and Agnostic Front.
