Breaking News: Thy Art Is Murder Split With Vocalist The Day Their New Album Is Released

News has been received that Australian Death Metal/Deathcore band Thy Art Is Murder have split with vocalist CJ McMahon who has subsequently been removed from their latest album Godlike which was only released today, September 22nd. You can read the band's statement on the situation below.

McMahon had previously deleted his social media accounts after he received huge backlash for sharing anti-trans content and showing support for it. The rest of the band as a whole then went on to show their support for the trans community. McMahon later uploaded an apology video on the band's account:

"My intentions weren't to be transphobic in any way, shape or form, and now it's gotten to the point that it really doesn't matter what my intentions were. I apologize to the LGBTQ+ community and the people that support them. I thought I did support them, but obviously my video that I shared and commented horribly on has proved otherwise."

The identity of the band's new vocalist is currently unknown however news should follow soon considering their next show is scheduled for September 27th in Germany. Stay tuned as this story develops.
