Brian Johnson statue unveiled in Belgium

In the city of Namur, Belgium, a monument to Brian Johnson was unveiled to commemorate Johnson’s first concert with AC/DC as lead singer of the band, on June 29, 1980.

The project was spearheaded by AC/DC fans Michel Remy, Mike Davister and Georges Boussingault, with support from the Belgian radio station RTBF Classic 21.

The monument is constructed of bluestone, a naturally occurring stone quarried in the country, which is supposed to be between 150 and 350 million years old. Brian Johnson said he was flattered and grateful to the people of Namur and promised to visit the city in the coming weeks to admire his monument.
