CONCERT REVIEW: SEBASTIAN BACH RETURNS TO TORONTO

CONCERT REVIEW: SEBASTIAN BACH RETURNS TO TORONTO
Welcome home Sebastian!

First up was Oshawa's Lear Haven. This band kinda reminder me of The Black Crowes or Led Zeppelin. Had that bluesy rock feeling. Though the set was short they were enjoyable.

Up next was musician/actor Kurt Deimer who I thought sounded similar to Five Finger Death Punch. He was good and worked the audience. His songs are catchy for which the audience picks up on and makes you wanna sing-along.

In November 2021, Kurt Deimer released his first EP titled, Work Hard, Rock Hard. He enlisted Chris Lord-Alge as a producer and worked with both Geoff Tate and Phil X on the album.

Not only that he's also an actor who was cast in a role opposite Michael Myers in the 2018 horror film, Halloween.

His music is brunt in your face ass kicking music. Check out the songs "Doom" and "Hero".

Featuring Geoff Tate

Fans really could  connect with him and he engaged with them and came into the audience and took selfies with fans. He ended the show with a very touching song about long lost love ones called "".

Check out his brand new video "Fight" below:

Doesn't my concert photographer Taita Vlakoff take amazing photos? It's fun to be around people that enjoy taking photos and also love the music. Thank you Taita. Please give her a follow on social media HERE

Next up was Peterborough's Sebastian Bach. Listen before i talk about the concert i just wanna say thank you to him. After one of the worst week's in my life this concert was just what I needed. And Bach was in a good mood which made us fans react back with enthusiam.

Sadly the Phoenix is closing just like so many other Toronto clubs like the Gasworks, Rock n Roll Heaven and others.

Bach didn't forget about the Diamond Club. After all it was here as a young 14 year old who would sneak in and sing his heart out with Kid Wikkid.

Bach has never forgotten his Toronto roots. He paid tribute to Neil Peart of Rush with "Tom Sawyer" and also mentioned other Canadian artists like Myles Goodwyn of April Wine and Gordon Lightfoot who also sadly passed away. Bach was all class as he mentioned his beautiful mom to the crowd. He also talked about Much Music.

Where does Bach find all that energy? He was jumping around like a 14 year old. Throughout he would stop and make some jokes, one even mentioning the Killer Dwarfs.

One fan did jump the rail but Bach didn't get angry and was cool about it. Heck Bach was home and nothing was gonna ruin it. He was amazing and how he still hits those high notes is incredible.

Go buy his new album. It's really good and the new songs blend well with the old ones. He even played "Future of Youth" for the first time live. His son Paris "P-man"Bierk is the bands drummer and was great behind the kit.

Thanks to guitarist Brody DeRozie for throwing some picks our way. He was brilliant on guitar. Bassist Clay Eubank was solid also.

The night was going great and than Bach starting singing "I Remember You". This song means so much to me and someone I love so much. Really had to hold back tears on this one.

The artwork for CHILD WITHIN tHE MAN holds special meaning since it was designed by BACH’s father, noted visual artist David Bierk. “This album artwork was started in 1978 and finished in 2024!” SEBASTIAN says.

Listen Scotti, Rachel and Snake, Can you please do us fans a favour and get him back in the band? Some fans have never seen this band with Bach. Also lots of other bands have had separate rooms for band members that they don't like each other. So....

Tonight was indeed all about the "Child Within The Man". Though I didn't get my booked signed, I was able to hand over one of my This Day in Metal shirts for him.
