VERSUS: Crowbar vs. Take as Needed For Pain
Welcome to another edition of VERSUS, the series where we look at two albums in heavy metal history and compare
On this day in metal January 6, 1978
In late 1977 Ozzy Osbourne left Black Sabbath and he would return in 1978 for the Never Say Die album. However, in between, for about three months Sabbath had a new singer…..Dave Walker.
On this day in 1978 Sabbath performed for the one and only time with Dave on lead vocals, on the British TV show “Look Hear”. They would perform two songs, “War Pigs” and a very early version of “Junior’s Eyes”.
Many fans don’t realize that Sabbath actually performed with Walker and that Dio was actually the third singer in Sabbath.
Here’s the only known clip to exist, which is only audio: https://youtu.be/2ITDbIvjegg
