Album Review: The Sinner Rides Again - KK's Priest
At last we have KK's Priest's second and long awaited album.
October 6th, 2020 the rock world got the tragic news that Eddie Van Halen had passed away.
It happened unexpectedly as there was talk about an upcoming tour with Van Halen.
Here are some of the comments posted by musicians at the time of his death.
On June 5th of this year Reelz docuseries, “Autopsy: The Last Hours Of…” did a episode about Eddie. His son, Wolfgang Van Halen, tweeted that the episode is “disgusting trying to glamorize someone’s death from cancer. Pathetic and heartless.”
The late rocker’s former wife, actress and cookbook author Valerie Bertinelli, also weighed in on Twitter.
“Good Christ this is disgusting,” she tweeted.
On September 27th of this year his son Wolfgang performed at the Taylor Hawkins tribute concert playing Hot for Teacher and Panama with Justin Hawkins, Josh Freese and Dave Grohl.
About talk of a tribute concert for his late father Wolfgang explains “I think I already did it with the Taylor Hawkins tributes. I feel a lot of closure because my part of the show was a tribute to my father,”
Wolfgang performed as the bassist for Van Halen for 14 years between 2006 to 2020, but insists the band is “very dysfunctional” – making a tribute gig featuring the rest of the band unlikely.
So far only a mural of the late guitarist has been done. It was unveiled on the anniversary of his birthday on January 26th of last year.
Hopefully Sammy Hagar, David Lee Roth, Wolfgang and Alex Van Halen can put together something in the future.
Today and everyday we will never forget Eddie Van Halen.
