Yellowknife's GNARWHAL Unveils New Single “Tides” from Upcoming EP “Altered States” Ahead Of The Electric Highway Festival Appearance In Calgary

Gnarwhal, the genre-bending four-piece rock band hailing from the remote northern Canadian city of Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories, is thrilled to announce the release of their latest single “Tides” from their upcoming EP “Altered States”, which is slated for release this coming May 2024. The band shares their thoughts on the upcoming single:

“Tides is a song we originally wrote in early 2023. It’s a bit of a departure from some of our other standard rock songs, but definitely hits a little heavier too. Lyrically, Benji was just spitting out doomy ideas on paper which ended up synthesizing into a concept that fit really well with the other tracks on the EP. It sort of tells a tale of despair and dread about decisions made and your place in the world. There’s a bit of an apocalyptic feel to it.”
