On This Day in Metal, August 7th 1982 Metallica opened for Stryper. At the time Stryper was known as Roxx Regime. Also on the bill was a band called Kaos who went on to become Hirax.

According to Katon W. De Pena nobody got paid because a plate glass window got broken during the concert.

Metallica line up was Lars Ulrich (Drums), James Hetfield (Lead vocalist & Rhythm guitarist), Ron McGovney (Bass), and Dave Mustaine (Lead guitar)

Also, Ron McGovney confirmed that his Ibanez Roadster bass guitar was stolen that night:
